The Camrose Kodiaks are proud to announce that defenceman Avery Trotter has committed to the NAIT Ooks in the ACAC for the 2024-25 season.
The 6’2” blueliner from Olds, AB, joined the Kodiaks midway through the 2023-24 season and quickly became a key piece of the team’s defensive core. In 54 regular season games this year, Trotter recorded 12 points (3G, 9A) while bringing a strong two-way presence to the back end. He also added one point in five playoff games.
Kodiaks General Manager Eric Kroetch praised Trotter’s leadership and consistency, “Avery has been a leader since day one and a steady, reliable presence on our blueline. He competes hard every night, and we are thrilled to see him take the next step in his career with such a great organization like NAIT.”
At NAIT, Trotter will reunite with former Kodiaks Ty Hodge and Odin George, continuing the strong connection between Camrose and the Ooks program.
