The AJHL and Viterra Canada are proud to recognize volunteers from each team through the Viterra Volunteer Profile. At the end of each season, one volunteer from both Divisions will be presented with the Viterra Salute to Service Award in honour of their dedication!
Okotoks Oilers Chairman of the Board Wayne Lauinger applauded the Honish family. “Brenda for years has undertaken and continues the job of assigning all the officials for Okotoks Minor Hockey. When The Okotoks Oilers came to town they were the first to volunteer, as off ice officials, and to this day continue volunteering for us. They arrive together with smiles on their faces ready to go. On occasion when an assigned volunteer calls in just before game time advising he/she can’t make their assignment, the Honish’s respond to the short notice calls in a heartbeat to fill the void with a smile. They love to Volunteer almost as much as they love each other! They make everyone around them feel good! They are not only reliable volunteers but are professional with the job they preform.”
