Watch each game in the 2012 Doyle Cup live on Pay Per View! The Brooks Bandits of the AJHL and Penticton Vees of the BCHL will open the best of seven series in Brooks, Alberta tonight. Games are available live for only $6.99 and can be accessed from the AJHL, BCHL and Doyle Cup websites.
The Doyle Cup features the AJHL Enerflex Cup Champion and the BCHL Fred Page Cup Champion. The winner will represent the Pacific Division at the 2012 RBC Cup in Humboldt, SK.
The Brooks Bandits won their first league championship as the 2012 AJHL Enerflex Cup Champions with a win over the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in Game Six of the AJHL Final. The Brooks Bandits won the Dave Duchak Trophy as the 2011-2012 AJHL Regular Season Champions with a record of 47-7-6 and 100 points and earned a bye in the opening round of the 2012 AJHL Playoffs.
The Penticton Vees have been the number one ranked team in the CJHL Weekly Rankings throughout the 2011-2012 regular season and set a CJHL record for consecutive wins with 42 victories. The Vees established a new BCHL mark for wins in a season (54) and a new BCHL mark for points in a season (110) along the way to capturing the regular season title. Penticton won their second Fred Page Cup in five years with a win in game four against the Powell River Kings.
