Wolverines Announce Hiring of Mike Mueller as Associate Coach

Whitecourt, AB – The Whitecourt Wolverines are pleased to announce the addition of Mike Mueller as an Associate Coach.

Mueller spent the last three seasons as Head Coach and General Manger of the Drayton Valley Thunder in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.  Prior to that Mueller was an Assistant Coach with the Thunder dating back to 2009.

Before joining the Thunder organization, Mueller was an assistant coach for Team Pacific U17 at the world championship and served as a head coach at the Alberta Cup.  Mueller also was a skills instructor with the Parkland Hockey Academy and Head Coach of the Bantam AAA Grande Prairie Athletic Club.

Head Coach Joey Bouchard states “We are excited to announce the addition of Mike to our hockey staff.  Mike will help to develop our players on & off the ice and will bring a great wealth of experience, hockey knowledge, and passion which will benefit our club.”

We are also pleased to inform you that Brad Granley will be returning for his 2nd season as the assistant coach for the Wolverines.  Former Associate Coach Marcus Ryan has decided to pursue other career opportunities earlier this off-season but will remain with the club at some capacity.
