Wolverines Part Ways With Thibodeau

The Whitecourt Wolverines have parted ways with General Manager / Head Coach Gord Thibodeau, the team announced today.

“After 25 years of coaching, I have reached the inevitable point of hockey burnout. Moving forward I will take some time to rest, recharge and re-evaluate my future within the game of hockey,” stated Thibodeau.  “I would like to thank Brent and Tracy Stark for allowing me to be part of the Wolverines family and I wish them nothing but success moving forward.”

“We wish Gord continued success in his next endeavor,” said Team President Brent Stark.

Wolverines Assistant Coach Shawn Martin will fill the role of interim GM / Head Coach effective immediately.
