Woywitka Relieved as Crusaders Head Coach

Sherwood Park, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders have announced that Jeff Woywitka has been relieved of his duties as the organization’s head coach and assistant general manager, effective immediately.

“Jeff was both a valued member of the organization and in the community of Sherwood Park,” commented Crusaders president Kevin Love. “We’re proud of the positive example Jeff set for our team through the past six years, both on-and-off the ice. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

Woywitka first joined the organization as an associate coach prior to the 2016/2017 season. In that role, Woywitka assisted in leading the team to its two most successful on-ice seasons in club history.

On November 26, 2021, Woywitka took over the role of head coach following the departure of Adam Manah. Under Woywitka’s guidance, the club amassed a record of 16-16-3, earning the final playoff position in the AJHL’s Viterra North Division.
