We take great pride in announcing that graduating forward Jared Wynia has committed to attend Fredonia State University of the NCAA and the Blue Devils men’s hockey team for the upcoming 2011 – 2012 Season. In addition, Jared has also been awarded the President’s International Scholar Award that is a renewable academic award for up to four years. This scholarship is offered to incoming international undergraduate freshman.
The 20-year-old Vancouver native has played the past two seasons with the Calgary Canucks where he amassed an impressive 110 points in 112 games and was also selected to play for the 2010 AJHL South All – Star Team.
The Calgary Canucks coaching staff and the Board of Directors wish Jared every success in his future scholastic and hockey endeavours.
