The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are pleased to announce that 20 year old forward Colton Yaremovich (Edmonton, AB) has committed to attend and play for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) for the upcoming 2011-2012 season.
Colton just finished his 4th year in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, 2nd complete year with the Oil Barons. During his tenure with Fort McMurray, Colton played in over 126 regular season and playoff games where he registered 23 goals and 47 assists. He was a valuable member of the team both on the ice and in the dressing room. His leadership for all young players was very evident as he was the Assistant Captain during his time here. Colton was heavily relied upon to play in all situations and was largely responsible for playing against the opposition’s top lines.
The Oil Barons’ organization would like to congratulate Colton and his family and wish him all the best in his future endeavours both academically and athletically.
Colton becomes the 3rd Fort McMurray Oil Baron to secure a commitment from a post-secondary institution.
