As announced at last night's Evening of Champions, your captains for the 2013-14 campaign have been named ahead of tonight's home opener!
Third year defenceman and league all-star Grant Baker will return as the team's captain, promising fans that this year's team will bring “a whole different attitude.”
Joining Grant as an assistant captain will be local defenceman and former WHLer Linden Springer, who is as excited as ever to wear a letter for his hometown team.
19 year old d-man Tyler Kunz, who played his 2012-13 season with the Spruce Grove Saints, was also named an assistant captain. Tyler has stepped up as a leader for the Bobcats since the team acquired his rights as part of last year's Casey Knight trade, and the Whitecourt native says he is loving it here in Lloydminster already.
Last but not least, the charismatic Nolan Yaremchuk was named as the other assistant captain. In his 20 year old season, Nolan brings a wealth of enthusiasm and leadership to the young players joining the Bobcats.
Remember that you can now get your tickets online prior to puckdrop to beat the rush at www.lloydminsterbobcats.ca.
