October 9, 2024 – Devon Xtreme player, Tyson Baschuk, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Fighting Major plus two Game Misconducts for participating in a fight after an original fight had started during an October 8, 2024 game versus Grande Prairie.

October 9, 2024 – Grande Prairie Storm player, Matthew Gillard, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Fighting Major plus two Game Misconducts for participating in a fight after an original fight had started during an October 8, 2024 game versus Devon.

October 2, 2024 – Olds Grizzlys player, Esteban Labelle, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Fighting Major plus two Game Misconducts for a one-player Fight during a September 26, 2024 game versus Bonnyville.

October 2, 2024 – Bonnyville Pontiacs player, Brent Hoshowski, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Fighting Major plus two Game Misconducts for a one-player Fight during a September 26, 2024 game versus Olds.

September 23, 2024 – Drumheller Dragons player, Spencer Claerhout, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Kneeing during a September 21, 2024 game in Drayton Valley.

September 23, 2024 – Olds Grizzlys player, Maguire Nicholson, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for a fight take-down during a September 21 2024 game in Grande Prairie.

September 21, 2024 – Canmore Eagles player, Brayden Schwartz, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Kneeing during a September 20, 2024 game in Canmore.

September 21, 2024 – Lloydminster Bobcats player, Noah Smith, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Checking to the Head during a September 20, 2024 game in Drumheller.

August 31, 2024 – Bonnyville Pontiacs player, Christophe Lussier, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Checking from Behind during an August 30, 2024 game in Lloydminster.  The suspension falls under the WCDM Pilot Suspension Guidelines.

2023-24 AJHL Season

March 9, 2024 – A video review has taken place on a check delivered by Olds player, Lucas Baxter, on a Grande Prairie player during the March 8, 2024 game in Grande Prairie.  Upon review, it was determined that Lucas Baxter should have received a major and game misconduct for a blow to the head and is therefore suspended for two (2) games.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys next two (2) games.

March 8, 2024 – Drayton Valley player, Jace Moffatt, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a March 7, 2024 game in Camrose.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.   This suspension is to be served during the next two (2) Thunder games.

March 4, 2024 – Fort McMurray player, Carter Schmidt, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a March 2, 2024 game in Grande Prairie. Please note that the original call on the ice was a minor and misconduct
for a blow to the head and upon review it was elevated to a major.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons next two (2) games.

March 4, 2024 – A video review has taken place on a check delivered by Fort McMurray player, Noah Heinrich, on a Grande Prairie player during the March 2, 2024 game in Grande Prairie.  Upon review, it was determined that Heinrich should have received a
major and game misconduct for a blow to the head and is therefore suspended for two (2) games.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons next two (2) games.

March 4, 2024 – Fort McMurray player, Demitri DiFlorio, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head during a March 2, 2024 game in Grande Prairie. Please note that the original call on the ice was a minor for goaltender interference.  Upon review of the infraction, it was elevated to a major and game misconduct for a blow to the head.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons next two (2) games.

February 24, 2024 – Fort McMurray player, Demitri DiFlorio, is suspended two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Boarding during a February 23, 2024, game in Fort McMurray.  The suspension falls under Boarding rule #7.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons next two (2) games.

February 19, 2024 – Drumheller player, Connor Poffenroth, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head during a February 17, 2024 game in Drumheller. Please note that the original call on the ice was a major for cross
checking.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Dragons next two (2) games.

February 10 , 2024 – Whitecourt Wolverines player, Hunter Motley, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting after the conclusion of the third period on February 9, 2024 in Whitecourt.  This was also the 2nd fight at the same stoppage.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for fighting. This suspension is to be served during the Wolverines next three (3) games.

February 10, 2024 – Bonnyville Pontiacs player, Levi Green, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting after the conclusion of the third period on February 9, 2024 in Whitecourt.  This was also the 2nd fight at the same stoppage.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for fighting.  This suspension is to be served during the Pontiacs next three (3) games.

February 6th, 2024 – Drumheller Dragons player, Vann Yuhas, is suspended for (2) two games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Kneeing during a February 3, 2024 game in Drumheller.  This suspension is to be served during the Dragons next (2) two games.

February 5th, 2024 – Whitecourt player, Jarred Feist, is suspended five (5) games as a result of being assessed a Gross Misconduct during the February 4, 2024 game in Whitecourt.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Maltreatment.  This suspension is to be served during the Wolverines next five (5) games.

February 3rd, 2024 – Canmore Eagles player, Nathan Macpherson-Ridgewell, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting after the conclusion of the third period on February 2, 2024 in Bonnyville.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for fighting.  This suspension is to be served during the Eagles next two (2) games.

February 3rd, 2024 – Bonnyville Pontiacs player, Dante Siciliano, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting after the conclusion of the third period on February 2, 2024 in Bonnyville.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for fighting.  This suspension is to be served during the Pontiacs next two (2) games.

January 29, 2024 – Fort McMurray player, Spencer Kunz, is suspended (2) two games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Check From Behind during a January 27, 2024 game in Fort McMurray.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Checking From Behind.  This suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons next (2) two games.

January 17, 2024 – Sherwood Park player, Adam Raesler, is suspended two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for Charging during a January 16, 2024 game in Blackfalds.  The suspension falls under Charging rule #7.4 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Crusaders next two (2) games.

January 14 – Olds player, Willem Terwood, is suspended three (3) games as a result of being in a Staged Fight, during a January 13, 2024 game in Grande Prairie.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for a staged fight.  This suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys next three (3) games.

January 14 – Grande Prairie player, Matt Corbet, is suspended three (3) games as a result of being in a Staged Fight during a January 13, 2024 game in Grande Prairie. The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for a staged fight.  This suspension is to be served during the Storm next three (3) games.

January 7, 2024 – Canmore player, Tavynn Schlaht, is suspended for five (5) games as a result of being assessed a Gross Misconduct during a January 6, 2024 game in Canmore.   The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Maltreatment.  This suspension is to be served during the Eagles next five (5) games.

January 6, 2024 – Canmore player, Casey Black, is suspended for two (2) games for being assessed a Major Penalty and a Game Misconduct for a Blow to the Head, during a January 5, 2024 game in Canmore.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Eagles next two (2) games.

January 4, 2024 – Okotoks Oilers player, Kade Duell, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting. This was the 2nd fight during the same stoppage. After review of the fight, a gross misconduct has also been added.  The suspension falls under the Junior A Minimum Suspensions for fighting. The Gross Misconduct falls under the AJHL Bylaws.  This suspension is to be served during the Oilers next two (2) games.

January 4, 2024 – Calgary Canucks player, Ben Binder-Nord, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting. This was the 2nd fight during the same stoppage. After review of the fight, a gross misconduct has also been added.  The suspension falls under the Junior A Minimum Suspensions for fighting. The Gross Misconduct falls under the AJHL Bylaws.  This suspension is to be served during the Canucks next two (2) games.

January 1, 2024 – Lloydminster player, Luke Fritz, is suspended for two (2) games for being assessed a Major Penalty and a Game Misconduct for a Blow to the Head, during a December 30, 2023 game in Lloydminster.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Bobcats next two (2) games.

January 1, 2024 – Drayton Valley player, Nicco Camazzola, is suspended two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Boarding during a December 30, 2023 game in Lloydminster.  The suspension falls under Boarding rule #7.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   This suspension is to be served during the Thunder next two (2) games.

December 13, 2023 – Brooks player, Liam Fitzpatrick, is suspended two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Gross Misconduct Penalty during the game on December 12, 2023 in Canmore.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Disrespectful and Abusive Behaviour.  This suspension is to be served during the Bandits next two (2) games.

December 12, 2023 – Grande Prairie player, Colin Doherty, is suspended for three (3) games for being assessed a Major Penalty and a Game Misconduct for a Blow to the Head during a December 10, 2023 game in Grande Prairie.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the next three (3) Storm games.

December 8, 2023 – A video review has taken place on a play where Lloydminster player, Kade Fendelet, was assessed a minor penalty and game misconduct for checking from behind.  The review has found that he should have been assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for checking from behind.  Therefore, Lloydminster player, Kade Fendelet, is suspended for two (2) games.
The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Checking From Behind.  This suspension is to be served during the Bobcats next (2) two games.

December 4, 2023 – Drayton Valley player, Jace Moffatt, is suspended two (2) games as a result of being assessed a major penalty for cross-checking during a December 2, 2023 game in Blackfalds.  The suspension falls under Cross-checking rule #9.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   This suspension is to be served during the next two (2) games for the Thunder.

November 28, 2023 – Brooks player, Ethan Beyer, is suspended three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Boarding during a November 25, 2023, game in Brooks.  The suspension falls under Boarding rule #7.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Bandits next three (3) games.

November 24, 2023 – Camrose player, Bradley Gallo, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head during the November 24, 2023 game in Camrose. Please note that the original call on the ice was a match penalty for a Blow to the Head.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks next two (2) games.

November 22, 2023 – Okotoks player, Jagger Tapper, is suspended three (3) games as a result of being assessed a major penalty for cross-checking during a November 20, 2023 game in Calgary.  The suspension falls under Cross-checking rule #9.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Oilers next three (3) games.

November 21, 2023 – Lloydminster player, Kade Fendelet, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head during a November 18, 2023 game in Lloydminster.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Bobcats next three (3) games.

November 19, 2023 – Grande Prairie Storm player, Kaiden Bugera, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting. This was the 2nd fight during the same stoppage.  The suspension falls under the Junior A Minimum Suspensions for fighting.  This suspension is to be served during the next Storm game.

November 19, 2023 – Grande Prairie player, Dylan Thorn, is suspended (2) two games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Check From Behind during a November 18, 2023 game in Lloydminster.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Checking From Behind.  This suspension is to be served during the next (2) two Storm games.

November 19, 2023 – Grande Prairie Storm player, Tomis Marinkovic, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct during a November 18, 2023 game in Lloydminster.  The suspension falls under the AJHL Bylaws Article 3.9.  This suspension is to be served during the next two (2)  Storm games.

November 16, 2023 – Canmore player, Kayden Rawji, is suspended five (5) games a result of a staged fight during a November 15, 2023 game in Brooks.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for a staged fight.  This suspension is to be served during the Eagles next five (5) games.

November 13, 2023 – Camrose player, Alexander Bryson, is suspended two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for Interference during a November 11, 2023 game in Canmore.  The original call on the ice was a major for charging.  The suspension falls under Interference rule #8.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks next two (2) games.

November 5, 2023 – Sherwood Park player, Diego Johnson , is suspended two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head during a November 3, 2023 game in Brooks.  The original call on the ice was a match penalty for a blow to the head.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Crusaders next two (2) games.

November 1, 2023 – Drayton Valley player, Chazz Nixon, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for an attempt to injure during an October 31, 2023 game in Drayton Valley.  The suspension falls under the AJHL Bylaws and Regulations for Match Penalties.  This suspension is to be served during the Thunder next three (3) games.

October 31, 2023 – Drayton Valley Thunder player, Evan Smutney, is suspended for eight (8) games as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for Head Contact during an October 29, 2023 game in Okotoks.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.

October 17, 2023 – Bonnyville player, Clarence Beltz, is suspended for (3) three games as a result of a Major Penalty for a Check From Behind during a October 25, 2023 game in Sherwood Park.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Checking From Behind.  This suspension is to be served during the Pontiacs next (3) three games.

October 23, 2023 – Blackfalds player, David Brandes, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head during an October 21, 2023 game in Blackfalds.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.  This suspension is to be served during the Bulldogs next two (2) games.

October 21, 2023 – Blackfalds Bulldogs player, Tanner Willick, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting after the conclusion of the first period during the October 20, 2023 game in Camrose.  This suspension is to be served during the Bulldogs next two (2) games.  Camrose Kodiaks player, Myles Gauld, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting after the conclusion of the first period during the October 20, 2023 game in Camrose.  This suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks next two (2) games.

October 13, 2023 – Canmore player, Brody Tallman, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for Slashing during an October 12, 2022 game in Canmore.  The suspension falls under Slashing rule #9.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Eagles next two (2) games.

September 18, 2023 – Spruce Grove player, Jed Magarrell, is suspended for two (2) games for being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head during a September 16, 2023 game in Spruce Grove.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact.   This suspension is to be served during the Saints next two (2) games.

September 16, 2023 – Drayton Valley player, Zach Burns, is suspended for five (5) games as a result of a Gross Misconduct during a September 15, 2023 game in Drayton Valley. Please note that the original call on the ice was a game misconduct.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Maltreatment.  This suspension is to be served during the next five (5) games for the Thunder.

September 11, 2023 – Lloydminster player, Ryan Redekopp, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head during a September 9, 2023 game in Fort McMurray. Please note that the original call on the ice was a major for cross-checking.  The suspension falls under the CJHL Suspension Guidelines for Head Contact. This suspension is to be served during the Bobcats next three (3) games.

September 9, 2023 – Okotoks Oilers player, Rylan Brown, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for fighting. This was the second fight during the same stoppage. The suspension falls under the Junior A Minimum Suspensions for fighting.  This suspension is to be served during the Oilers next two (2) games.

September 7, 2023 – Drayton Valley player, Brodie Hankle, is suspended two (2) games as a result of a Major Penalty for Charging during an September 6, 2023 game in Bonnyville.  The suspension falls under Charging in the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Thunder next two (2) games.
