Playoff ranking shall be determined based on the total number of points in the regular season. If two teams have equal number of points in the regular season, playoff ranking shall be determined based on the following criteria in the following order:
        • (i) most regulation time wins;
        • (ii) most regulation time wins in head-to-head matches;
        • (iii) most wins (including shootout wins) in head-to-head matches;
        • (iv) goals for / goals against differential; and
        • (v) a sudden death game

  • Teams will be seeded 1-to-10 at the end of the regular season. Teams seeded 7th through 10th will compete in opening round best-of-five play-in series (7 vs. 10 and 8 vs. 9), while the top six teams earn a first-round bye.
  • Following the play-in series, the remaining eight teams will be reseeded 1-to-8. All playoff rounds from Round Two onward will be best-of-seven series, with teams reseeded based on regular season points.
  • The North and South division regular season champions will receive the top two seeds in Round Two.
