AJHL’s Makar tabbed 10th among North American skaters
CALGARY, Alta. – National Hockey League Central Scouting released its mid-season rankings Wednesday for the upcoming NHL Draft, June 23-24 in Chicago, and 14 players from within the Canadian Junior Hockey League are on that list.
Headlining the CJHL contingent on the mid-season NHL CS listings is Brooks Bandits (AJHL) defenceman Cale Makar, who was slotted 10th overall among North American skaters. Two other blueliners in Ian Mitchell of the Spruce Grove Saints (AJHL) and Cameron Crotty of the Brockville Braves (CCHL) round out the top three CJHL players tabbed at 45 and 68 respectively.
Ty Taylor of the Vernon Vipers (BCHL) was the top rated CJHL goaltender at No. 29 among North American netminders.
All 14 CJHL players on the mid-season draft rankings list will be among the two sides that will compete in the CJHL Prospects Game at Ed Lumley Arena in Cornwall, Ont. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The cost for tickets is $10 each; $9 per-person for groups of 20 or more, while children 12 and under are $5.
