The Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week is Canmore Eagles Captain Aidan Tkachuk. The veteran forward recorded eight points (4G, 4A) on a three-game road trip through the AJHL North Division.
Aidan Tkachuk (Calgary, AB) scored a goal and two assists to open the trip with a 5-3 win in Grande Prairie on October 2nd. The Eagles fell short the next night in a 5-3 loss to the Whitecourt Wolverines where Tkachuk was named the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game with a goal and an assist. He earned the honour again on October 4th with a three-point game (2G, 1A) in a narrow 5-4 loss versus the Devon Xtreme.
Tkachuk (2006) has built a five-game point streak and is tied with teammate Cohen Daoust at the top of the AJHL Leaderboard with 11 points (5G, 6A).
The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week is Lloydminster Bobcats Captain Jaxan Hopko. The hometown defenceman scored three goals and five points in three wins for the Bobcats from September 28th-October 4th, 2026.
Hopko (2006) started the week with a goal in a 5-2 road win over the Camrose Kodiaks. On October 2nd, the Bobcats stole an overtime winner in Olds and Hopko recorded a goal and an assist versus the Grizzlys. The week closed with a 3-1 road win in Drayton Valley on October 3rd and another two-point game for Hopko including the game winning goal and an assist.
Bobcats Goaltender Mark Djomo is the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week with a 2-0 record for the Cats. The 2009-born goaltender is 3-0 since being reassigned to the AJHL from the Wenatchee Wild of the WHL.
Djomo (Farmers Branch, TX) made 32 saves to defeat the Camrose Kodiaks 5-2 on September 30th, then allowed just one goal against the Drayton Valley Thunder in a 3-1 victory on October 3rd. Mark recorded 66 saves, a .957 save percentage and 1.5 GAA through the week to help the Bobcats extend their winning streak to four games.
