Taylor Cote scored the game-winner in the second, added an empty-netter in the third and Curtis Skip turned aside 26 Canmore shots as the Grande Prairie Storm beat the Canmore Eagles 3-0 in Alberta Junior Hockey League play on Saturday night.
Just 24 hours after the Storm ended the Brooks Bandits’ 20-game winning streak, the Storm returned to the ice at Canada Games Arena to host the 10-7-4 (coming in) Eagles.
The game carried exactly none of the emotion of one day earlier, but the Storm did what they had to do to keep the longest winning streak in Canadian junior A hockey alive.
