AJHL’s Bandits Seek Best Ever Start

There will be no champagne corks popping Wednesday night.

The Brooks Bandits aren’t overly excited about their chance to make history.

With a win over the Dragons in Drumheller Wednesday night, the Bandits would improve to 19-0, which would be the best start to a season in AJHL history.

But Bandits bench boss Ryan Papaioannou said the bubbly will have to wait.

“None for any of us,” Papaioannou said. “It must have been 10 days ago before any of the guys — myself included — even knew what the record was.

“So it’s been business as usual for us.”

The Bandits are in the business of winning hockey games.

And business has been good.
