AJHL’s Playoff Picture Getting Clear

They started jockeying way back in September.

Now — heading into the final weekend of the AJHL regular season — teams, for the most part, know where they stand.

While the battle for North Division supremacy will come down to the final weekend — one point separates the first-place Spruce Grove Saints (93 points) and the Fort McMurray Oil Barons (92 points) — a lot less is on the line in the South Division.

The Brooks Bandits have the top seed locked up, while the Calgary Canucks’ dismal campaign has them looking way up from the basement, as they’ll be the only south team on the outside looking in when the AJHL Gas Drive Playoffs get going next Thursday night.
