HELSINKI, Finland – The roster is set; 23 players have earned their place on Canada’s National Junior Team at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship in Helsinki, Finland, December 26th – January 5th.
AJHL alumnus Brandon Hickey (Leduc, AB / Boston University) has secured a spot on the roster. Hickey spent two full seasons with the Spruce Grove Saints and captured the AJHL Championship in 2014 before attending Boston University.
Hockey Canada confirmed the final roster shortly after returning to Helsinki from Imatra, Finland, on Sunday evening. The team spent six days in Imatra and played pre-competition games againstBelarus on Saturday, and the Czech Republic on Sunday, before narrowing down to the final roster.
