Brooks Bandits and Okotoks Oilers will need at least five games to determine who wins the AJHL South Division championship.
Game five will be played in Brooks Friday at 7 p.m. The two teams split games in Brooks this past weekend with Okotoks winning 5-4 in triple overtime Friday and Brooks winning 2-1 Saturday. The two home games for the Bandits turned out to be a goaltenders battle.
Oilers netminder Jared D’Amico was clearly the sharper of the two goalies in the opening game but Michael Fredrick had a superb game Saturday to be named star of the game. The largest crowd of the season (2,004) was on hand for Friday’s contest.
