Bandits to raise thousands for minor hockey at home opener Saturday

BROOKS, AB – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) will raise thousands of dollars for local minor hockey at the upcoming annual Brooks Minor Hockey Bandits Home Opener, presented by Chinook Financial, on Saturday night.

The team is again challenging the Brooks and County of Newell regions to turn out for the game, and spread the word, and help drive the annual minor hockey donation to a record level. A portion of all Adult tickets sold, as well as the entire team share of the 50/50 pot, will form the BMH donation, which has totalled more than $17,000 over the last two years.

As in last year’s home opener, all minor hockey kids will be eligible to get in for just $2 per ticket.

In addition to the game, kicking off at 7:00 PM against the Okotoks Oilers, the Bandits will host a tailgate party in the Centennial Regional Arena parking lot, rain or shine, featuring free food, games, and a bouncy castle for the kids courtesy of Maximum Adventure Park.

Prior to puck drop, the Bandits will introduce their entire 2017-18 roster, and unveil their four championship banners from the 2016-17 season.

Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.brooksbandits.ca, in person at the CRA, or by phone at (403) 501-0122.
