Oil Barons GM Gord Thibodeau was busy Thursday night at the AJHL trade deadline, shipping out MOB captain Brock Maschmeyer and alternate captain Harrison Hendrix.
Maschmeyer, who was in his third season with the Barons and fifth in the AJHL, scored five points in 15 games with the team this season.
Maschmeyer is now headed off to the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL to finish off his career, before going to play for Northern Michigan University in the NCAA Division I next year.
Harrison Hendrix, who led the team in scoring for much of the 2012-13 season, is said to be off to Drumheller Dragons for future considerations.
Hendrix scored 25 points for the Barons this year and played three seasons with the MOB.
