Rookie goaltender Brady Parker of the Okotoks Oilers is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for January 2019. Parker was a perfect 9-0 through January as the Oilers compiled a 10 game win streak.
Through the month of January, Brady recorded a 1.6 GAA, .930 SV%, and faced 213 shots on goal. The 18 year-old goaltender allowed just a single goal in seven games, allowing only 15 goals in total and stopping 198 attempts. On January 27th, Brady was awarded as the Viterra AJHL Star of Game in a 4-1 win over the Calgary Mustangs and an important 2-points in the tight South Division. Brady has not recorded a loss since December 7th, 2018.
Along the way to a 10-game win streak, Parker and the Oilers posted wins against the North Division leading Sherwood Park Crusaders twice, as well as several South Division foes trying to catch Okotoks in the standings, including Drumheller, Camrose and the Mustangs.
Brady Parker (Calgary, AB) leads all AJHL goaltenders with a 1.98GAA and is among the Top 5 with a .915 SV%. He currently has a record of 21-6-0 with one shut out.
The Oilers are 2nd in the Viterra AJHL South Division with 67 points (33-14-1) and 12 regular season games remaining.
