Brett Edwards Commits to the University of Denver

Drumheller, AB – The Drumheller Dragons are excited to announce that 20-year-old forward Brett Edwards has committed to the University of Denver Pioneers for the 2019-2020 season. The Pioneers play in the competitive National Collegiate Hockey Conference at the Division I level.

Edwards stands at 5’11 and weighs 195lbs. The left shot power forward from Grande Prairie, Alberta is playing his fourth and final year of junior hockey. Edwards spent the first two seasons with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons and accumulated 50 points in 128 games played. Since joining the Dragons, Edwards has played in 111 games and accumulated 111 points. Edwards has already matched a career high 26 goals in the first 45 games played this season as compared to the same total in 56 games played during the 2017-18 season. Edwards earned play-off MVP honours with the Dragons during the 2017-18 season scoring 13 points in 10 games helping the dragons advance to the second round of the AJHL playoffs.
