Brooks Bandits donate $6,525 to Brooks Minor Hockey

BROOKS, AB – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are delighted to announce that their annual donation to Brooks Minor Hockey (BMH) for the 2017-18 season totals $6,525.

The donation was presented to BMH Vice-President Jamie Langley by Bandits Manager of Sales and Marketing Nathan Crosby and team captain Dennis Cesana prior to the team’s home game on Friday night against the Olds Grizzlys.

The donation is based on the number of tickets sold for the team’s Brooks Minor Hockey Bandits Home Opener, and includes the team’s share of the 50/50 draw for that night.

In the three years that BMH and the Bandits have partnered on the home opener, more than $24,000 has been raised for the organization.

The money allowed BMH to complete its rebrand of its teams as the Brooks Junior Bandits, which began in 2015 after the historic three-year agreement between the two organizations was signed. It also includes the team’s Honorary Captain program, free tickets for attendees of local minor hockey tournaments, and Bandit players serving as guest coaches for local minor hockey teams.

The Bandits would like to thank everyone who has turned out to the last three home openers for helping to make an historic impact on local minor hockey in the Brooks region.
