After a lengthy 10-day hiatus between playoff games, the Brooks Bandits will finally get the opportunity to compete in their first AJHL Enerflex Cup Finals game, as they square off against the Fort McMurray Oil Barons who narrowly qualified for the finals with a thrilling come-from-behind victory over Spruce Grove Saints on Tuesday.
The Bandits and the Oil Barons have taken two completely different paths to the AJHL finals, with the team from Brooks breezing through the playoff round with convincing series sweeps over the Olds Grizzlys and the Calgary Canucks en route to the finals.
