Caleb MacDonald Commits to University of Alaska Fairbanks

Defenceman Caleb Macdonald has committed to the University of Alaska Fairbanks for the 2023-24 season.

The Cambridge, Ontario product just finished his second campaign with the Wolverines after joining the program from the St. Mary’s Lincolns of the GOJHL. Last season Caleb compiled 33 points in 57 games while also adding 7 points in 10 playoff games.

“Mac has come along way in his time here and has worked extremely hard for this opportunity,” stated Wolverines Head Coach Shawn Martin. “He has developed into a premiere defenceman at the Junior A level, and I would expect he will do the same in college.”

Caleb had this to say about his commitment, “It has been a privilege playing for the Whitecourt Wolverines the past two seasons. I would like to express my gratitude to the Wolverines coach’s, teammates, staff, billets, and awesome fans for all their support.”

“I would also like to thank the Wolverines ownership group for their dedication and support of our team. I am excited for what’s to come and I will always be grateful to the Town of Whitecourt and the Wolverines,” added MacDonald

On behalf of the Wolverines organization, we want to congratulate Caleb and his family on this achievement. If you would like to get a glimpse on the future of the Wolverines, please feel free to attend our annual Spring Prospects camps starting on Friday, April 29th.
