Goaltender Jay Deo of the South Division’s Calgary Mustangs is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the final week of October 2011. Deo posted a 3-0 record over the week and recorded his first shutout of the 2011-2012 season.
Deo stopped 121 of 124 shots faced last week and was named the Pro Hockey Life Star of the Game twice. Deo has faced the most shots of all AJHL goaltenders with 589.
Jay Deo and the Calgary Mustangs have won the last four consecutive games. Deo is from Langley, BC and is in his second AJHL season with the Mustangs.
