AJHL Introduces Alberta Ford Dealers Goalie of the Week Award
The first Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the 2015-2016 Season is forward Dylan McCrory of the Brooks Bandits. McCrory scored the first goal of the Bandits season on September 11th versus the Canmore Eagles and went on to record 6 points (2G, 4A) in 2 games played. The Bandits opened the season 2-0 with consecutive games against the South Division’s Eagles.
McCrory is a 20-year old from Kirkland, QC and is in his first AJHL season. He leads the Bandits and Alberta Junior Hockey League in scoring after the opening weekend of the 2015-2016 AJHL Regular Season.
The Alberta Junior Hockey League is proud to partner with Alberta Ford Dealers to recognize the Goalie of the Week for the 2015-2016 AJHL Season. The first-ever recipient of the award is Lloydminster Bobcats goaltender Alex Leclerc. The 20 year-old goaltender recorded a 2-0 record on opening weekend and posted his first AJHL shutout versus the Bonnyville Pontiacs on September 12th.
Leclerc turned away 58 of 60 shots to assist the Bobcats in a 2-0 record to start the 2015 Regular Season and two wins over the North Division’s Pontiacs. He was awarded as the Viterra Star of the Game for the Bobcats in the September 11th victory. Alex Leclerc (Longueuil, QC) is in his first AJHL season.
