(Fort McMurray, Alberta) – On Friday May 1st, the 2015 Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup announced the player awards through round-robin play in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

With 5 goals and 1 assist in round-robin play, Penticton Vees Tyson Jost took home the Top Scorer award.
Jost was also the recipient of the Top Forward award for his outstanding play.
The Top Defenceman award went to Portage Terriers Landon Peel from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Peel had 1 goal and 4 assists in round robin play.
Hunter Miska of the Penticton Vees took home the honours for Top Goalie and MVP of the round robin play. Miska had over 238 minutes of ice time, allowing only 7 goals on 111 shots in 4 games. He posted a goals against average of 1.76 and a save percentage of .937. Miska was a big part in the Vees earning a 3-1 record.
The 2015 Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup also named the All Tournament Team.

The 2015 Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup will see champions of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), and Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) participate in a five-team tournament along with a host team for the Western Canada Cup title.
The 13-game tournament includes a round-robin schedule followed by two semifinal games and a championship game. The Western Canada Cup Champion and the runner-up will both represent Western Canada at the RBC Cup National Junior A Championship.
The Penticton Vees from the BCHL will play the Portage Terriers from the MJHL in the championship game for the Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup title on Saturday May 2nd at 7:30pm.
In the 3rd vs. 4th place game at 2:30pm on Saturday May 2nd the Fort McMurray Oil Barons from the AJHL will play the Melfort Mustangs of the SJHL. The winner will be guaranteed a spot in the Royal Bank Cup held in Portage and will play the loser of the championship game between the Vees and Terriers on Sunday at 4pm for seeding purposes.
Fort McMurray is the host city of the 2015 Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup with all games taking place at the Casman Centre, the home of the Fort McMurray Oil Barons.
