The Camrose Kodiaks are excited to announce that they have hired Derrick Martin as Head Coach and General Manager.

Martin joins the Kodiaks organization coming for Okanagan Hockey Academy where he was a coach for the past two seasons. Previously to that he was with the Spruce Groves Saints organization and in 2017-2018 won a League Championship.

“Derrick is a very passionate and detailed individual who brings a wealth of knowledge and resources with him to the Kodiaks organization,” President of the Board, Brad Huolt stated. “As a Board we did our due diligence to make sure the right person was identified for the organization and for the community as well. We are very excited to welcome Derrick, Kari, their 8 year old son and 11 year old daughter to the organization.”

The Kodiaks would like to thank the applicants who applied for the position, as it was a very competitive and difficult decision to make. We are looking forward to our Spring Camp taking place this weekend in Camrose, Alberta.

“I look forward to getting to know all of the players and building a winning culture in Camrose,” said Martin.
