Dragons Hire New Athletic Trainer

The Drumheller Dragons are proud to welcome Rachelle Matisz as their new Athletic Trainer for the upcoming season.

Rachelle has spent the last two seasons as the Athletic Trainer for the University of Manitoba Woman's Hockey team. She has a strong and accomplished background; Rachelle was selected for a 1 week internship with the New York Rangers of the NHL and was the head ATCC for the U16 Junior Bison Hockey Team to name of few.

“We are very happy to have Rachelle join our organization; she is very qualified as well as certified in many areas in the field. We feel fortunate to get Rachelle here and the Dragons look forward to welcoming Rachelle to Drumheller,” said Coach Curran. “It is probably one of the hardest things as a coach to find someone so qualified and it certainly will make the players and their parents happy to be getting excellent care.”

“I consider myself unbelievably lucky to have the opportunity to work within an organization, such as the one that the Drumheller Dragons have created. I am looking forward to a fantastic season with this team,” commented Rachelle Matisz.
