Goaltender Curtis Skip made 22 saves as the Drumheller Dragons blanked the Canmore Eagles 4-0 Monday night at the Memorial Arena.
With the win, the Dragons take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series with the Eagles.
Forward Chris Rauckman scored twice, including the game winner a minute and 12 seconds into the game and now leads the AJHL in playoff scoring.
“We needed this one for sure. We need to let them know this wasn't going to be an easy series and it's going to be tough coming into our barn,” said Rauckman, who would set a Dragons team record for goals in a single playoffs with seven. The previous mark was held by Trevor Smyth from the 2007-2008 playoff run with six.
