The Sherwood Park Crusaders would like to congratulate former Crusaders Forward Cody Kunyk on his signing with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League. Cody spent 3 seasons with the Crusaders from 2007 to 2010 and went on to spend 4 seasons in the NCAA at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. The Sherwood Park native amassed 82 goals and 169 points in 165 games in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, including, 44 goals in 2009-10. At the conclusion of the 2009-2010 season Cody was named the AJHL and CJHL Player of The Year.
