The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are proud to announce that goaltender Brendan Gee has committed to the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds for the upcoming season.
Gee joined the Oil Barons organization this season and quickly established himself as one of the top goaltenders in the AJHL. In 30 appearances, the netminder posted a 19-7-4 record alongside a 2.89 goals against average, a .919 save percentage, and one shutout.
His strong season earned him a spot on the AJHL North Division All-League Team, while also being named a finalist for the AJHL Top Goaltender Award.
Throughout the season, Gee delivered several key performances for the Oil Barons and played a major role in the team’s success during both the regular season and playoffs.
