Harris to Attend AHL Camp

The Bonnyville Pontiacs are pleased to announce that former standout defenceman Donnie Harris will be attending camp with the American Hockey League’s Binghamton Senators as they begin on ice sessions September 27th, 2011.

Through two seasons with the Pontiacs (2009-2011) the 6’2″, 205 pound Harris was a key factor in much of the teams success. His size, skating ability and hockey sense make him valuable in all situations.

Last season, Harris accepted an NCAA scholarship from the University of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves. However, Harris, a Fort Ashby, West Virginia native, chose to forgo his college eligibility in search of professional opportunity.

Based in Binghamton, New York the “Baby Sens” are the NHL’s Ottawa Senators top farm club, winning the 2011 Calder Cup. Binghamton will open their exhibition schedule Friday, Sept. 30th in Victoriaville, Quebec as they take on the Hamilton Bulldogs.
