Harvie Commits to Williston State College

The Brooks Bandits are proud to announce 20 year old Forward Ian Harvie has committed to Williston State College. Located in Williston, North Dakota the “Teton’s” are entering their inaugural season for their Men’s Hockey Program.

Ian is from Cochrane, AB and grew up playing minor hockey for Springbank in the Hockey Calgary System. He joined the Edge School for his midget years and then went on to play a season in the KIJHL for the Kimberley Dynamiters. Ian then took an opportunity to spend a season in Switzerland playing for the SISEC Selects before joining the Bandits for his final season of junior hockey.

Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou, “Ian is one of the best people I have ever met. His contribution to our program in one year has been astounding. It would be safe to say he was loved by his teammates and he would do anything for them. His love for the game is second to none and that passion is what allows him this opportunity to continue playing. He will be remembered in our dressing room as an unsung hero.”

The Bandits Organization would like to thank Ian for his contributions to the community of Brooks and wish him the best of luck in his new college endeavor.

Ian is the 5th Bandit to commit to post secondary hockey this season.
