Hodge (Calgary, AB) scored a goal and 4 assists in back-to-back wins over the Spruce Grove Saints.   The Oil Barons opened the weekend with a 6-2 road win in which Hodge would score the game winner and add an assist while picking up the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award.   On Saturday night, Hodge recorded an assist on the first three MOB goals in a 6-3 win.

The 20 year-old is a second year Oil Baron and committed to Union College of the NCAA.   Hodge leads the League in assists (11) and points (14) with an average of 1.8 points per game in his first eight games of the season.

The Merit Contractors AJHL Rookie of the Week is Sherwood Park Crusaders centre Liam Hughes.   The 18 year-old scored 4 goals in two wins for the Cru and shares the team lead for points (6).

The rookie from Edmonton, AB opened the scoring in Friday night’s 5-3 win versus the Bonnyville Pontiacs then hit the score sheet for a second time in his first of two consecutive two-goal games.   On Saturday, Hughes tied the game at 2-2 in the first period before scoring the game winning goal late in the third period to lock in a 4-3 win over Bonnyville.
