Wolverines Defenseman Billy Hooson has committed to attend the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology who play in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
They have been crowned ACAC champions 16 times in their storied history.
The Didsbury, Alberta product was acquired in January of this past season to add experience and an element of toughness to the defensive corps. Billy compiled 9 points in 34 games last season with the Wolverines.
“Billy was an unbelievable teammate for our group and fit in the second he joined us, I thought that he altered his game to fit our style of play and kept the opposing to teams more honest when he was on the ice.” Stated HC/GM Shawn Martin
Billy had this to say about to commitment “I am very excited to continue my hockey career at NAIT. I want to thank all my coaches, teammates, billets and family for all the help I have received along the way.”
