Lloydminster Bobcats forward Jadon Iyogun is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week with seven points (4G, 3A), a hat trick and two Bunge AJHL Player of the Game selections from February 23rd-March 1st, 2026.
The Tennessee State University (NCAA) commit started the week with his first AJHL hat trick, including the game winning goal in overtime, on February 25th in a 6-5 victory versus the Devon Xtreme. Iyogun (Calgary, AB) was awarded as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game. On February 28th, Jadon recorded two assists in a 6-1 road win over the Olds Grizzlys. He completed the week with a goal and an assist in a 6-2 final against the Drayton Valley Thunder to earn his second Bunge AJHL Player of the Game award on March 1st.
Jadon Iyogun (2005) is tied for the team lead with 40 points (23G, 17A) in 44 games. The Lloydminster Bobcats have clinched a spot in the 2026 Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Playoffs and are battling for home ice in the Bunge AJHL North Division.
Bobcats teammate Jaxan Hopko is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week after extending his active point streak to 12 games with six points (2G, 4A) in four games played.
The 2006-born defenceman recorded two assists in a 6-5 comeback OT win versus the Xtreme on February 25th. Hopko scored a goal in a 6-5 OT loss to the Storm on February 27th then notched another in the 6-2 road win versus the Grizzlys. He kept his point streak going into a fifth week with two assists in a 6-2 road victory versus the Thunder on March 1st.
Hopko led the Bobcats in scoring through February 2026 with 13 points in 10 games played and the continuation of a 12-game point streak totaling 17 points. The third-year hometown Bobcat is third among all AJHL defencemen with 38 points (11G, 27A) in 50 regular season games. Hopko and the Bobcats defensive core have allowed the third fewest goals against in the AJHL.
This is Hopko’s second Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week award of the 2025-26 season.
The Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week is Darius Hordal of the Devon Xtreme. The 2008-born first year defenceman recorded five points (1G, 4A) and extended his point streak to four games.
Hordal (Edmonton, AB) was awarded as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game on February 25th with a goal and two assists in a narrow overtime loss to the visiting Lloydminster Bobcats. On February 27th, he picked up an assist in a 5-3 home win over the Calgary Canucks then repeated with an assist in a 4-2 home win against the Camrose Kodiaks.
Darius Hordal is third among AJHL rookie defencemen with 24 points (3G, 21A) in 47 games and 14th overall among all rookies.
