The Drumheller Dragons are pleased to announce that 20 year old forward Brodie Jamieson has committed to Marian University for the 2013-14 season.
Jamieson, a 1992-born, 5’10”, 180 pound forward from North Vancouver, British Columbis is finishing his second season with the Dragons. This past regular season, as a 20-year old, he tallied 18 goals and 18 assists for 36 points, along with 83 penalty minutes, in 58 games played. In his two seasons with the Dragons Brodie has been one of the offensive threats for the team and in his 85 games as a Dragon, Brodie tallied 27 goals and 26 assists for 53 points and 103 penalty minutes.
With his commitment to Marian University, Brodie will play for the Marian Sabres out of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association of the NCAA under Head Coach A.J. Aitken
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue playing hockey at Marian University,” comments Jamieson. “I look forward to playing for Coach Atkin and the Marian Sabres. I’m also thankful to my family, friends, Teammates and coaches for their constant help and support.”
Dragons Head Coach Brian Curran had this to say about the recent commitment, “ I wish Brodie all the success in the world! Brodie has a very strong work ethic, plays with passion and has great character. It has been a privilege to Coach Brodie and to watch him grow into the young man he has become, both on and off the ice.”
