The Calgary Canucks are proud to announce that Kieran O’Neil has committed to attend Concordia University. Kieran O’Neil , a 20 year old Calgary native, played the in the AJHL for three years. In his final season, Kieran became an Assistant Captain with the Canucks and was able to tally 10 goals and 15 assists in 47 games.
“We had no doubts that Kieran would move on and make us proud. The Stingers have a great young man joining their program and a player that will be an asset for years to come,” said Ryan Barrett Head Coach / GM of the Canucks.
“I wanted a guy who would go in and get the puck and put it in the right positions,” added Stingers' Coach Kevin Figsby. “This is exactly what Kieran does. He is a big, strong kid that will evolve into a power role.”
Kieran will study Economics at Concordia.
The Calgary Canucks would like to wish Kieran all the best in his academic and hockey endeavors, and are very proud to have Kieran represent the Canucks at the next level.
