Manah, Woywitka Earn New Roles with Crusaders

Sherwood Park, AB – The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the appointments of Adam Manah as General Manager and Jeff Woywitka as Assistant General Manager, effective immediately.

“I am very excited to continue as the Head Coach, and now look forward to my new role as General Manager of the Sherwood Park Crusaders,” Manah commented. “I am thankful to our ownership group for instilling their trust in myself and our entire coaching staff. We want to continue to build on the success we have had and push to be one of the best teams in Canada every year.

Our ultimate goal is to bring a Championship to Sherwood Park. We are looking forward to getting started!”
“I’d like to thank the Sherwood Park Crusaders organization for the opportunity to step into a larger role,” commented Woywitka. “It’s always been important to me to be a role model to the members of our team. I pride myself on being someone that our players can look up to as a coach and as a member of the community. We’re doing this for the Crusaders, but we’re also proud to be residents of Sherwood Park. We want to give our players the best chance we can to get them on to the next level both on and off the ice.”

Manah joined the Crusaders in 2015 as an Associate Coach before taking on the role of Head Coach and Assistant General Manager the following offseason. Shortly after Manah’s promotion, Woywitka joined the Crusaders to take over as Associate Coach. Under the pair’s guidance, the organization has become one of the top clubs in the Canadian Junior Hockey League, accumulating a record of 153-83-8 since taking on their respective roles and earning the #1 ranking in the CJHL for the first time in the 2019/2020 season. The duo have also been instrumental in over 30 athletes earning college or university scholarships in their time with the Crusaders as well as three recent NHL draft selections in Carter Gylander (2019), Carter Savoie, and Michael Benning (both 2020).
