McMurphy And Mustangs Look To Turn Corner

The 2012/13 season hasn’t gone exactly to plan for the Calgary Mustangs and 18-year-old forward Chase McMurphy.

Looking to build on a 31-win season of a year ago, the Mustangs were expected to set up shop in the top half of the South Division this season, especially after the acquisition of three-year WHL veteran Blair Wentworth from Dauphin in the offseason. However, after starting the season with six wins in eight games the Mustangs lost their 10th straight contest on Nov. 25, falling to 10-16-4 while the pressure mounts on both the club and McMurphy.
