New Storm Chairman Ready for Challenge

On the heels of their 19th season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, the Grande Prairie Storm have seen several in-house staffing changes in the off-season.

In addition to the appointment of Kevin Higo as the team's head coach and general manager in May, the team also saw changes on its Board of Directors in July at the annual general meeting – a sign of the new direction the organization is headed.

Chris Luhtala was appointed chairman, replacing Kelly Chalmers, who stepped down due to personal reasons. The board also saw the appointment of Rocky Gerlitz to vice-chairman – formerly held by Devon Wardley – and Paul Peters as treasurer.
