Camrose Kodiaks (5-0-0) @ Okotoks Oilers (3-1-1)
Riley Morris stopped 30 shots as the Oilers edged Camrose 2-1.
Matt McNair (assist to Carson Beers @9:16) kept the puck on a two on one and would beat Kodiaks (starting) goaltender Patrick Gora. On the power play, Trey Degraaf (assist to Colin O'Neill @11:18) redirected a centering pass between the pads of Gora. Shots were 10-8 Camrose in the first.
On the power play, Braeden Salverda (assists to Jake Dube and Cole McBride @8:11) point shot would sneak through the pads of Okotoks (starting) goaltender Riley Morris. Shots were 12-8 for the Kodiaks and 22-16 in the hockey game.
Neither team would get a goal in the third. Shots favored Camrose 9-4 in the third and 31-20 in the hockey game.
The Kodiaks will be in Calgary to take on the Canucks on Sunday while Okotoks will take on the Canucks on Wednesday in Calgary.
Calgary Canucks (1-4-1) @Olds Grizzlys (2-3-0)
Zach McNeill scored once and added a helper as the Canucks topped the Grizzlys 4-1.
Neither team would be able to find the back of the net in the opening frame. Shots were 10-6 Olds.
On the power play Michael Clarke (assists to Allan MacPherson and Andrew Marshall @10:52) would open the scoring beating Grizzlys (starting) goaltender Kurtis Chapman. Just 14 seconds after that Dalton Ossman (assists to Zach McNeill and San Chung @11:06) would extend the Calgary lead to 2-0. Shots were 17-12 Canucks in the second and 23-22 in the hockey game.
Chase Olsen (assists to Matthew Holzer @5:02) would get Olds on the board beating Calgary (starting) goaltender Logan Drackett. Kyler Magus (assists to Greydon Robinson and Tyler Severson @10:16) would get that goal back for the Canucks. Zach McNeill (assist to Greydon Robinson @17:00) would cap off the scoring to give Calgary a 4-1 lead. Shots were 13-7 Canucks in the third and 36-29 in the hockey game.
The Canucks will host Camrose on Sunday while Olds will host Canmore on Tuesday.
Spruce Grove Saints (6-0-0) @ Sherwood Park Crusaders (4-1-0)
Matthew Murray turned aside 19 of 21 shots as the Saints doubled up the Crusaders 4-2.
Cole Nicholson (unassisted @4:10) from the point would put the puck over the shoulder of Crusaders (starting) goaltender Zac Klassen. Jake Mykitiuk (assists to Josh Harris and Nicolas Correale @19:32) blasted a one timer over the outstretched glove of Klassen. Shots were 13-7 Saints.
Cole Chorney (unassisted @4:18) on a breakaway would snap the puck behind Spruce Grove (starting) goaltender Matthew Murray. On the power play, Tyler Maltby (assist to Brett Magee @8:04) would pick the far post to even the game 2-2. Shots favored Sherwood Park 6-5 in the second but were 18-13 Saints in the hockey game.
On the power play, Connor James (assists to Josh Harris and Jake Mykitiuk @3:41) cleaned up a rebound to give Spruce Grove the lead back. Nicolas Correale (assists to Macklin Pichonsky and Josh Harris @13:29) would give the Saints a little bit of breathing room by deflecting the puck into the back of the net. Shots favored Spruce Grove 12-8 in the third and 30-21 in the hockey game.
Spruce Grove will be in Lloydminster on Tuesday while Sherwood Park will host the Mustangs on Sunday.
Drayton Valley Thunder (2-1-2) @ Whitecourt Wolverines (2-2-2)
Tanner McCorriston stopped all 24 shots as the Wolverines shutout the Thunder 3-0.
Neither team would be able to find the back of the net in the first. Shots were 14-8 Whitecourt.
Kevin Domingue (assists to Linden Penner and Jordan Davies @5:59) would give the Wolverines the lead beating Thunder (starting) goaltender Garrett Mason. Ryan Rebelato (assists to Jamieson Rae and Matt Gervais @15:54) tipped the puck under the arm of Mason. Shots were 16-10 Whitecourt in the second and 30-18 in the hockey game.
Bryson Traptow (unassisted @1:54) would take advantage of a friendly hop to make it 3-0 Wolverines. Shots were 10-6 Whitecourt in the third and 40-24 in the hockey game.
Drayton Valley will be in Grande Prairie on Sunday while Whitecourt will take on Drumheller at Showcase Weekend on Thursday.
Brooks Bandits (4-1-0) @ Bonnyville Pontiacs (2-5-1)
Steen Pasichnuk and Bobby McMann each had two goals and a helper as the Pontiacs hammered the Bandits 7-1.
Bonnyville would get a pair of power play goals in the first. Steenn Pasichnuk (assists to Brinson Pasichnuk and Bobby McMann @7:21) blasted the puck past Bandits (Starting) goaltender Josh Davies. Bobby McMann (assist to Kyler Hehn @10:59) would stuff the puck under the pad of Davies. Shots were even 10-10.
While shorthanded Bobby McMann (assist to Steenn Pasichnuk @9:36) kept the puck on a two on one and wired the puck over the shoulder of Davies for his second goal of the game. On the power play, Brinson Pasichnuk (assists to Chad Hurtubise and Chandler Klein @14:34) hammered the puck through Davies. Ryan Symington (assists to Josh Borynec and Gen Bryshun @19:15) banked the puck off the far post and into the net. Shots favored Bonnyville 15-7 in the second and 25-17 in the hockey game.

Lloydminster Bobcats (6-0-0) @ Grande Prairie Storm (0-3-2)
Connor Odelein scored twice as the Bobcats defeated the Storm 5-2.
On the power play, Luke Mahura (assists to Blake Bosch and Chase Bell @2:34) blasted a one timer over the pad of Bobcats (starting) goaltender Pierce Diamond. Connor Odelein (unassisted @15:43) off the turnover snapped the puck short side on Storm (starting) goaltender Tallon Kramer. Shots favored Lloydminster 8-7.
On the power play, Connor Odelein (assist to Christian Lloyd @0:45) on the rebound would drive his second of the game into the net. Ian McLellan (assists to Tristan Crozier and Frank Sullivan @12:18) would jam the loose puck under Diamond to even the game. Zac Giroux (assists to Austin Yaremchuk and Marco Ballarin @14:13) tipped in the point shot to give Lloydminster the lead back. Shots were 17-7 Bobcats in the second and 25-14 in the hockey game.
Taylor Allan (unassisted @5:26) on a partial breakaway would beat Kramer over the glove. Josh Giacomin (assists Mackenzie Bauer and Alex Pernitsky @14:28) would slip the puck under Kramer to make it 5-2. Shots were 17-13 Lloydminster in the third and 42-27 in the hockey game.
Both teams will be at home for their next games. Lloydminster will host Spruce Grove on Tuesday while Grande Prairie will host Drayton Valley on Sunday.
Calgary Mustangs (2-3-0) @ Fort McMurray Oil Barons (0-5-1)
Yuri Chernichko scored twice and added an assist as Calgary tops Fort McMurray 5-4 in a shootout.
On the power play, Logan Franz (assists to Tyler Dea and Landon Welykolowa @4:51) redirected the puck past the glove of Mustangs (starting) goaltender Ryan Ternes. Shots were 14-7 for Calgary.
Another power play goal this time by Ben Sharf (assists to Mark Drohan and Logan Franz @6:18) beating Ternes five hole to make it 2-0. Connor McCallum (assists to Isaac Ceh and Jordan Funk @10:00) quick one timer would get over the glove of Ternes to add to the Oil Barons lead. Shots were 11-10 Fort McMuray in the second but were 24-20 Mustangs in the hockey game.
On the power play, Jared Virtanen (assists to Sam Stormoen and Josh McCulloch @1:54) would backhand the puck over the shoulder of Oil Barons (starting) goaltender Ravi Dattani. Just 23 seconds after that Yuri Chernichko (unassisted @ 2:17) backhanded the puck over the glove of Dattani. Connor McCallum (assists to Mark Drohan and Jackson McKinstry @2:41) on the rebound would slip the puck behind Ternes. On the power play, Bryan Huck (assists to Yuri Chernichko and Sam Stormoen @16:12) snapshot from the top of the slot got the Mustangs within one. A mere 11 seconds after that Yuri Chernichko (assists to Davis Sheldon and Ryan Stoynich @16:23) would slip the puck between the pads of Dattani to even the game at 4-4. Shots were 13-10 Mustangs in the third and 37-30 in the hockey game.
Overtime settled nothing, and it was off to a shootout. Shots favored Calgary 3-0 in overtime and 40-30 in the hockey game.
After Landon Welykolowa missed the net, Jared Virtanen would score to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead. In round 2 both Austin Holmes and Joshua McCulloch were stopped. Ben Sharf was denied to give Calgary a 1-0 shootout win.
The Mustangs will be in Sherwood Park on Sunday while Fort McMurray will host Bonnyville on Tuesday.

Colton Leiter had two goals and two assists as the Saints shutout the Pontiacs 8-0.
Tyler Busch (assists to Riley Simpson and Cole Nicholson @2:54) wrist shot beat Bonnyville (starting) goaltender Olivier Charest. Riley Simpson (assist to Colton Leiter @7:38) turned and fired the puck low glove side on Charest. Brandon Biro (assists to Cole Nicholson and Trey Fix-Wolansky @8:57) through a maze of bodies would beat Charest over the blocker. That would be the end of the night for Charest, who would give up three goals on six shots. Shots favored Spruce Grove 10-9 in the first.
Tyler Busch (assists to Macklin Pichonsky and Brandon Biro @0:52) just tucked the rebound past Pontiacs (backup) goaltender Josh Williams. Colton Leiter (assist to Riley Simpson @16:37) broke down the right side and wired a shot over the pad of Williams. Shots favored the Saints 11-7 in the second and 21-16 in the hockey game.
On the power play, Jake Mykitiuk (assist to Colton Leiter @7:39) from the ringette line snapped the puck top shelf. While shorthanded, Colton Leiter (assist to Conner Lukan @13:47) would get his second of the game putting the puck top shelf. Jake Mykitiuk (assist to Nicolas Corrale @19:00) blasted a one-timer five hole on Williams. Shots were 19-16 Saints in the third and 40-32 in the hockey game.
Bonnyville will host Brooks while Spruce Grove will be in Sherwood Park on Saturday.
Olds Grizzlys (2-1-0) @ Okotoks Oilers (1-1-1)
Colin O'Neill scored once and added a pair of assists as Okotoks topped Olds 5-3.
Chase Olsen (assist to Landon Kletke @3:57) would open the scoring beating Oilers (starting) goaltender Jake Mullen. While shorthanded James Miller (assists to Tyr Thompson and Chase Olsen @13:32) would beat Mullen to extend the Grizzly lead to 2-0. Shots were 13-7 Okotoks in the first.
On the power play, Colin O'Neill (assists to Eric Krienke and Carson Beers @18:24) would beat Olds (starting) goaltender Kurtis Chapman. Just over a minute later Trey Degraaf (assist to Colin O'Neill @19:49)would get the Oilers back to even terms. Shots were 17-9 Okotoks in the second and 30-16 in the hockey game.
On the power play, Matt McNair (assists to Carson Beers and Colin O'Neill @1:56) would give the Oilers their first lead of the night. Landon Kletke (unassisted @13:04) would get the Grizzlys back on even terms. Okotoks would get the lead back with a power play goal from Matt McNair (assists to Connor Chambers and Carson Beers @17:05) to make it 4-3. Carter Huber (assist to Cooper Page @19:42) would finish the scoring with an empty net goal. Shots were 18-3 Oilers in the third and 48-19 in the hockey game.

Canmore Eagles (3-2-0) @ Drumheller Dragons (2-3-0)
Tyrell Mappin had four assists as Drumheller dumped Canmore 5-3.

Ryan Chynoweth (assists to Tyrell Mappin and Chaydan Lauber @7:50) walked in and wired the puck over the glove of Gilchrist. Ryan Chynoweth (assists to Tyrell Mappin and Trevor Kavanaugh @17:43) from the slot would drive the puck top corner to make it 3-0. Coy Prevost (assists to Matt Forchuk and Jakob Lavoie @19:32) on the rebound would beat Dragons (starting) goaltender Jonny Hogue. Shots were 13-12 Canmore.
Levi Wunder (assists to Tyrell Mappin and Jacob Schofield @8:17) on a partial breakaway would snap the puck top shelf. Slater Dykema (assists to Tyrell Mappin and Ethan James @14:38) would quickly put the puck under the bar to extend the lead to 5-1. Lane Olson (assists Coy Prevost and Jonas Gordon @15:52) would jam the puck short side on Hogue to make it 5-2. Shots were 14-11 Drumheller in the second and 26-24 in the hockey game.

Morgan Messenger scored the overtime winner as the Bobcats edged the Wolverines 2-1.

Neither team would be able to score in the second. Shots were 13-2 Brooks in the period and 30-10 in the hockey game.

Patrick Gora stopped 25 shots in regulation and overtime and stopped all three shots in the shootout as Camrose edged Drayton Valley 3-2 in a shootout.
On the power play, Brayden Harris (unassisted @6:56) blasted a shot from the slot that beat Kodiaks (starting) goaltender Patrick Gora. On the power play, Nelson Gadoury (assists to Trevor Costello and Jake Dube @13:44) hammered a shot from the point that would squeak through Thunder (starting) goaltender Garrett Mason. Shots favored Drayton Valley 9-8 in the first.
While shorthanded Trevor Costello (assist to Braden Salverda @6:25) would clean up the rebound, poking the puck between the pads of Mason. Nolan Krewsik (assist to Noah Kieser @18:55) would score on a wrap around to even the game at two. Shots were 9-8 Thunder in the second and 18-16 in the hockey game.
Neither team would find the back of the net in the third. Shots favored Drayton Valley 8-7 in the third and 26-23 in the hockey game.
Overtime would solve nothing, and it was off to a shootout. Shots favored the Camrose 5-1 in overtime and 28-27 in the hockey game.
Brett Smythe was stopped while Stefan Danielson flicked a shot five-hole on Mason. Round two had both Jordan McConnell and Braeden Salverda get denied. Nolan Krewusik failed to beat Gora as the Kodiaks would hang on for a 3-2 win.

Jake Ashton (assist to Dylan Marchi @2:28) went top shelf over Oilers (starting) goaltender Riley Morris. On the power play, Danton Davis (assists to Keillan Olson and Devon Brooks @15:17) from the bottom of the left faceoff circle drilled the puck into the net. Shots were 13-12 Canmore in the first.

On the power play, Brody Hailwood (assist to Danton Davis @14:39) point shot deflected off an Eagle to give Okotoks the lead back. Matt Forchuk (assists to Lane Olson and Brett Schimmel @18:03) blasted a one-timer through Morris. Shots favored Okotoks 9-6 in the third and 30-28 in the hockey game.

Both Connor Chambers and Matt Forchuk were stopped in round 1. Keillan Olson went top shelf and Adam Tisdale would be stopped. After Trey Degraaf was stopped Logan Ferguson backhanded the puck over the blocker of Morris. Neither team would score in round 4 or 5. Eric Krienke slipped the puck five-hole then Brett Schimmel put the puck between the pads of Morris. Reece Soukoroff would be stopped while Braiden Doucette went bar down to give Canmore the win.
Both teams return to action on Friday night. Okotoks will host Olds while Canmore will be in Drumheller.

Noah Bauld scored twice and added a helper as Lloydminster topped Sherwood Park 5-1.

Ryan Stoynich's third period goal lifts the boys in blue and gold to a 3-2 win over the Canucks.

Davis Sheldon (assists to Oliver Lester and Taylor Lileikis @3:46) blocked a point shot and then on the rebound stuffed the puck behind Canucks (starting) goaltender Logan Drackett. Off a turnover Andrew Marshall (unassisted @6:01) wired a snap shot between the pads of Ternes. Dondre Watson (assists to Ryan Rebelato and Ryan Ternes @14:56) would outwait Drackett and slip the puck into the back of the net to tie the game at two. Shots were 12-8 Canucks in the second and 19-14 in the hockey game.
Ryan Stoynich (assists to Everett Putz and Vincent Paquette @0:13) snipped a shot over the glove of Drackett early in the third to give the Mustangs their first lead of the night. That goal would stand up to be the winner as the Mustangs held on for a 3-2 victory. Shots favored the Mustangs 16-12 in the third but ended up 31-30 Canucks. Once again both teams would go 0/1 on the power play.
Both teams will be on the road on Saturday. The Canucks will be in Olds while the Mustangs will be in Fort McMurray.

Jeremy Klessens (assist to Jack Goranson @3:59) kept the puck on a two on one and drove the puck past Calgary (starting) goaltender Mathew McDonald. Off the faceoff, Wyatt Noskey (assist to Chase Olsen @14:39) wrist shot would squeak under the glove of McDonald. Tyrell Mappin and Ryan Chynoweth each had a goal and an assist as the Dragons edged the Oilers 3-2.
Carson Beers (assist to Connor Chambers @3:02) point shot would squeak through Drumheller (starting) goaltender Xavier Burghardt. The Dragons answered back on the power play. Ryan Chynoweth (assists to George King and Tyrell Mappin @6:53) redirected a cross ice pass behind Okotoks (starting) goaltender Riley Morris. Levi Wunder (assist to Ryan Chynoweth @9:12) would hammer a one-time shot five-hole on Morris to give Drumheller the lead. Shots were 11-7 Oilers in the first.
Matt McNair (assist to Colin O'Neill @0:30) would stuff the puck behind Burghardt to even the game at 2-2. Tyrell Mappin (assists to Keaton Holinaty and Levi Wunder @6:31) blasted a one-timer over the glove of Morris to give the Dragons the lead back. Shots favored Okotoks 13-11 in the second and 24-18 in the hockey game.
Drumheller would stifle the Okotoks offense in the third as neither team was able to find the back of the net. Shots favored the Dragons 9-4 but were 28-27 Oilers in the hockey game.
Both teams will return to action on Friday. Okotoks will host the Calgary Mustangs in their home opener while Drumheller will be in Brooks.
September 15th – It's the first weekday games of the new season in the AJHL tonight as four teams hit the ice.
Olds Grizzlys (0-1-0) @ Calgary Canucks (0-2-0)
James Miller scored the winner in overtime as the Grizzlys edged the Canucks 6-5.
The Canucks would get a power play goal to open the scoring. Chandler Irvin (assists to Michael Clarke and Andrew Marshall @13:16) point shot would find a way through a maze of bodies beating Grizzlys (starting) goaltender Kurtis Chapman. Tyr Thompson (assists to Chase Olsen and Riley Smith @16:30) quickly flicked the puck off the far post behind Canucks (starting) goaltender Logan Drackett. Shots were 14-10 Canucks.
Wyatt Noskey (assist to Tristan Thompson @5:43) would give Olds their first lead of the night by ripping a shot towards the net that would handcuff Drackett. James Gaume (assists to Tristan Thompson and Ryley Smith @11:46) took advantage of a hard bounce off the end glass to extend the Grizzly lead to 3-1. On the power play, Sean Richards (assists to Jeremy Klessens and Kurtis Chapman @13:26) drove to the net and from a sharp angle made it 4-1. That would be the end of the night for Drackett, who made 14 saves on 18 shots. Calgary would get a late shorthanded goal. Zach McNeill (unassisted @18:51) on a breakaway would backhand the puck five-hole on Chapman. Shots were 14-11 Olds in the second but were 25-24 Calgary in the hockey game.
Tyler Benko (assist to Michael Clarke @0:22) chipped the rebound past Chapman to make it a one goal game. The two teams would then exchange power play goals. Landon Kletke (assist to Nicholas Sutter @5:30) had the puck bounce off his skate and past Canucks (backup) goaltender Jackson McIntosh. Zach McNeill (assists to Greydon Robinson and Austin Ehret @7:20) turned and fired his second of the game five-hole on Chapman. Austin Ehret (assist to Jackson McIntosh @14:04) would go coast to coast and tuck the puck between the pads of Chapman. Shots were 13-11 Calgary in the third and 38-35 in the hockey game.
James Miller (assist to Sean Richards @2:41) backhanded the puck between the wickets of McIntosh. Shots were 4-1 Grizzlys in overtime and finished even 39-39.
Friday night The Grizzlys continue their road trip in Camrose while the Canucks travel to Spruce Grove.
Spruce Grove Saints (2-0-0) @ Bonnyville Pontiacs (0-2-0)
Brandon Biro scored twice and added an assist as the Saints hammered the Pontiacs 8-3.
Brandon Biro (assist to Trey Fix-Wolansky @3:11) picked the top corner on Bonnyville (starting) goaltender Joey Desrosiers. Connor James (assists to Conner Lukan and Tyler Busch @4:11) beat Desrosiers short side to extend the Spruce Grove lead to 2-0. Desrosiers would get pulled after that giving up two goals on two shots. Josh Harris (assists to Brandon Biro and Cole Nicholson @6:28) on the rebound would beat Pontiacs (backup) goaltender Billy Gorn. Shots favored the Saints 13-6.
Jake Mykitiuk (assist to Riley Simpson @2:32) centering pass bounced off a Pontiac and into the back of the net. Austin Hunter (assist to Macklin Pichonsk @4:48) redirected a point shot over the shoulder of Gorn to make it 5-0 Spruce Grove. On the power play Brandon Biro (assist to Josh Harris @6:59) snapped his second of the game over the blocker of Gorn. Erik Donald (assist to Alden Dupuis @10:35) point shot would beat Saints (starting) goaltender Matthew Murray. Bonnyville would continue to try and close the gap on the power play. Erik Donald (assist to Brinson Pasichnuk @14:35) second effort shot got through Murray for his second of the game. Shots favored Bonnyville 18-8 in the second and 24-21 in the hockey game.
Kyler Hehn (unassisted @3:19) found the loose puck and blasted it into the back of the net to make it 6-3. Just over a minute later Tyler Busch (assist to Nicolas Correale @4:22) flicked a shot over the blocker of Gorn to make it 7-3. Austin Hunter (assists to Jack Hamly and Kaidan McDonald @12:43) slide the puck along the ice under the stick of Gorn. Shots favored Bonnyville 8-5 in the third and 32-26 in the hockey game.
Both teams will return home on Friday night. Bonnyville will take on Grande Prairie while Spruce Grove will play their home opener against the Calgary Canucks.

Derek Lodermeier had a hat-trick and added an assist as the Bandits topped the Eagles 6-2.

Jesse Pereira (assists to Derek Lodermeier and Dylan McCory @18:42) wired a shot over the blocker of Gilchrist. Shots favored the Bandits 12-10.
While shorthanded Derek Lodermeier (assist to Austin Wright @5:50) would get a breakaway and slip the puck between the pads of Gilchrist. Jesse Periera (assist to Mike Falanga @9:31) from a sharp angle would backhand the puck over Gilchrist's shoulder to make it 4-1 Bandits. Once again the two teams would exchange power play goals. Josh McKechney (assists to Jared Cockrell and Hayden Ursulak @11:51) walked into the right faceoff circle and went top shelf to make it 5-1. Kyle Pauls (assists to Brett Radford and Mat Forchuk @16:26) blasted a one-timer over the blocker of Davies. Shots were 12-7 Bandits in the second 24-17 in the hockey game.

Dondre Watson had a hat-trick as the Mustangs knocked off the Canucks 5-3.

Alex Leclerc stopped all 25 shots as the Bobcats shutout the Pontiacs 4-0.

Whitecourt Wolverines (1-0-0) @ Drayton Valley Thunder (0-1-0)
Garrett Mason stopped 48 of 50 shots in regulation time, and five of six in the shootout as the Thunder edged the Wolverines 3-2.

Kevin Domingue (assist to Jamison Rae @4:03) redirected a centering pass into the back of the net. Shots favored the Wolverines 14-7 in the third and 46-31 in the hockey game.
Neither team would be able to find the back of the net in overtime. Shots favored the Wolverines 4-3 in overtime and 50-34 in the hockey game.
Neither team was able to score with their first shooters in the shootout. Linden Penner would pick the far post on the Wolverines second shot. Jordan McConnell would beat McCorriston short side to tie it 1-1. The next three shooters for both teams were unable to find the back of the net. After Marc-Olivier Bouchard was stopped, Mackenzie Harden would beat McCorriston five-hole to win the game for the Thunder.

Tanner Younghans scored twice as the Kodiaks doubled up the Dragons 4-2.

Tanner Younghans (assists to Jake Dube and Angus Scott @3:25) on the rebound would beat Dragons (starting) goaltender Jonny Hogue. Wade Wylie (assists to Trey Doell and Connor Duncan @5:00) would crash the net and poke the loose puck into the net. Cole McBride (assists to Nelson Gadoury and Cam Gotaas @8:31) one-timed a shot five-hole on Hogue. Jake Dube (assists to Cam Gotaas and PJ Marrocco @17:31) snapped a shot blocker side on Hogue to give Camrose their first lead of the night. Shots favored the Kodiaks 12-10 in the second and 28-14 in the hockey game.
Tanner Younghans (unassisted @19:52) blocked a point shot then raced to the other end of the ice and tapped the puck into the empty net. Shots were 10-7 Dragons in the third but finished 35-24 Kodiaks in the game.

Tyler Maltby scored twice and added an assist as the Crusaders edged the Storm 4-3 in a shootout.
On the power play, Tyler Maltby (assists to Chase Torontow @7:32) kept the puck along the ice and beat Grande Prairie (starting) goaltender Tallon Kramer. Tyler Maltby (assists to Brett Magee and Chase Torontow @13:38) second of the game by breaking through the defense and put the puck top shelf. On the power play, Ty Readman (assists to Tyler Maltby and Brett Magee @18:49) blasted a one-timer over the glove of Kramer. Shots were 12-6 Crusaders.
Grande Prairie would get on the board with a power play goal in the second. Austin Parmiter (assists to Carter Wolski and Luke Mahura @11:25) would pick the far post on Crusaders (starting) goaltender Zac Klassen. Michael Grant (unassisted @18:31) got the Storm within one as he kept the puck and snapped the shot over the blocker of Klassen. Shots favored Sherwood Park 7-6 in the second and 19-12 in the hockey game.
Josh Zablocki (assist to Tristan Crozier @5:35) hesitated just enough and put the puck into the net to tie the game. Shots favored the Crusaders 8-6 in the third and 27-18 in the hockey game.
Neither team would be able to find the back of the net in the overtime period. Shots favored Sherwood Park 4-1 in the extra frame and 31-19 in the game.
