The Fort McMurray Oil Barons and Centerfire Energy Group (Centerfire) are excited to introduce ? Centerfire Place ? as the new home of the Oil Barons following a new multi-year naming rights partnership.

Centerfire operates multiple business units.
Based on the Fort McMurray 468 First Nation, Centerfire is a heavy equipment contractor primarily servicing oil sands operators in the region. Their services include civil construction, tree clearing and vegetation control, site and facility maintenance, and as well as pipeline integrity programs.
With the integration of their subsidiary companies ? Alcor Facilities Maintenance, Club Industrial Trailers and Fort McKay Alcor ? Centrefire takes pride in offering many services to its industry partners.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has delayed the start of the 2020-21 AJHL regular season, a public celebration to mark the introduction of Centrefire Place will take place in the future.

Built in 1980, Centerfire Place features a 1,533-seat arena, a multipurpose room, pottery guild, and a modern 147-seat amphitheatre. Since its original construction, the building has undergone multiple, extensive renovations and remains a modern, leading-edge facility.
In recent years, the building has hosted many premier concerts and events including the 2000 Royal Bank Cup, 2004 Arctic Winter Games, and the 2015 Western Canada Cup and 2015 Canadian Ringette Championships.
The Oil Barons look forward to hosting other events at Centerfire Place in the future.
