Oiler Hamilton Commits to University of Vermont

The Okotoks Oilers are pleased to announce that Robert Hamilton has committed to the University of Vermont Catamounts.

Hamilton, a 1994 born defenseman from Calgary is in his first season with the Oilers. In 24 games played this season, Hamilton has record 6 goals and 8 assists. Last season, Hamilton played Midget AAA for the Calgary Flames while affiliating with the Oilers for 5 regular season games plus 6 AJHL South Conference Final games.

Based in Burlington, Vermont, the University of Vermont Catamounts compete in the NCAA’s Hockey East Conference. Notable Catamount alumni include several NHL past & present stars like John LeClair, Martin St. Louis, Tim Thomas & Patrick Sharp. Hamilton joins 2010-2011 AJHL scoring champion Kyle Reynolds who also received a scholarship to the University of Vermont last season as a member of the Oilers.
