The Okotoks Oilers are pleased to announce that Cody Irving, a 20-year old forward from Calgary, AB, will be pursuing his education and furthering his hockey career at SAIT in Calgary.
Cody joined the Oilers in his 20-year old season after playing two seasons with the Sherwood Park Crusaders. Cody recorded 29 goals and 63 points over 120 games played in his AJHL career.
“Cody is a fast, gritty player that competes at both ends of the rink and will be a welcome addition to the SAIT Trojans as they will look to claim their 12th ACAC Championship in the 2012-2013 season,” states Oilers Head Coach James Poole.
The entire Oilers organization would like to congratulate Cody and his family on this accomplishment and wish you the best of luck as you move on to the next level of your hockey career and education.
Cody is the 8th player from the 2011-2012 Oilers roster to commit to a post secondary hockey program.
