Okotoks Oilers Staff Update

The Okotoks Oilers are pleased to announce that Bobby Fox will be rejoining the Oilers staff for the 2014-2015 season.  Fox will be assuming the role of Associate Coach and Assistant GM.  Fox previously served as Assistant Coach for the Oilers from 2011-2013, and spent last season with the Mount Royal University Cougars at the CIS level.

“The addition of Bobby to our staff will be very beneficial to the Oilers as he brings a great knowledge of the game that works very well with my philosophy.  His knowledge and teaching style will further the development of our players and help our team reach its full potential.  In addition, Bobby’s expertise on the video side will prove a huge asset for the staff, players and team.  This will be the fourth season that Bobby and I have worked together and we’ve enjoyed good success together at both the Midget AAA and Junior A levels and our organization has great confidence that his expanded role with the club will allow us to take the necessary steps forward on & off the ice,” states Head Coach James Poole.

In addition to Fox, Todd Ford will also be joining the Oilers as Goaltending Consultant.  Ford played 4 years in the WHL, 8 years professionally and currently works for GDI and also serves as Goaltending Consultant for Mount Royal University.
