2005-Forward Tyler Pretty has committed to Ontario Tech University to play for the Ridgebacks who play in the OUA Conference within USports hockey. The Ridgebacks are led by long time Head Coach Curtis Hodgins.
From Abbotsford, BC, this was Tyler’s first year with the Wolverines after he was acquired in a pre-season deal with the Devon Xtreme. Tyler had 35 points in 33 games to go along with another 13 points in the playoffs.
“Tyler was a great fit wherever we played him, center, wing, pp, pk and up and down the lineup. He is a very intelligent player that will fit in well at the USports level,” stated Head Coach Shawn Martin.
Tyler had this to say about his commitment, “I’d like to thank my teammates, coaches and town of Whitecourt for an unforgettable last year of Junior hockey. I’m excited to take my next step in hockey at Ontario Tech.”
