RBC Community Ambassador ? Grayson Constable, Bonnyville Pontiacs

According to his coach, “Grayson Constable has shown to be a young man of character, intelligence, and talent. He consistently displays the servant leadership and work ethic that every coach hopes for from his top players.”

He never takes a day off and leads by example. Grayson is relentless as a player. He wants to be on the ice at all times. Grayson has taken his natural talent to the next level through hard work and a tremendous desire to excel.

As fine a hockey player as Grayson is, he is even a finer young man. He displays a great attitude and a servant approach in the community and his drive to help others to the rest of his teammates is impressive to say the least. Grayson’s same work ethic that has made him such a good hockey player has made him a strong citizen. It is engrained in him to do the right thing and be a role model to his teammates and to the community. Grayson is polite, sincere, honest and humble.

Grayson Constable sets the bar when it comes to serving his community. This year so far he has taken a lead role in the following volunteer and community initiatives:

– Seniors dock removal at Moose Lake
– Volunteer at the Scott McDonald Memorial football game
– Duclos School Literacy Evening
– Beaux Des Lacs school reading week
– Hockey Miniseries International
– Osum Kids Skates
– Kidsport Skate with the Pontiacs
– Town of Bonnyville Halloween Safety Initiative
– Dragonfly Center Sexual Assault Awareness
– Centennial School “Kids Days”
– Bonnyville Minor Hockey Association
– “Respect Awareness and Anti-bullying Program to youth in our community
– Mr. Mikes Tip a Pontiac for Charity School

He sets the bar and he will figure out what he has to do to be successful and then he will go about getting it done – this is especially true in helping others succeed.  Grayson says, “Being a Junior A hockey player in the town of Bonnyville has been truly amazing!
With it being such a small town, you get to meet a lot of new and outstanding people. From volunteering around the community at elementary schools and minor hockey, I’ve gotten to really enjoy and embrace what being a junior hockey player is all about. Giving back to a community that’s opened up several opportunities for many young athletes like me is something that I will cherish forever.”

Each AJHL team will nominate one player who has shown exemplary commitment to community service to be recognized as an AJHL RBC Community Ambassador – all 16 athletes will make up the 2018-19 AJHL RBC Community Ambassador Team!   At the conclusion of the regular season, one AJHL RBC Community Ambassador will be selected as the recipient of the RBC Community Award. A donation will be made to the Ambassador’s local charity from RBC and a Scholarship will be provided to the player from the AJHL to be used for post-secondary education.
